Community Standards & Moderation

Let Them Eat Crow exists first as a place where former evangelicals can gather, compare notes, and rebuild in community. Others who have experienced religious trauma, or who simply approach with genuine curiosity and respect, are welcome here as well. We cultivate this space intentionally so that survivors can speak openly without being required to defend their humanity.

All comments and community submissions are subject to moderator review before publication. Comments are not automatically posted to the site.

We moderate comments and community interaction to safeguard survivors and maintain an environment where vulnerability is not punished.

Comments may be declined or removed if they include:

• harassment or intimidation

• hate speech or discrimination

• personal attacks

• gaslighting or victim-blaming

• tone-policing

• bad-faith engagement

• attempts to derail discussion

• proselytizing or religious recruitment

• advocacy for the removal of civil or human rights

• misinformation presented as fact

We reserve the right to approve, decline, remove, or restrict participation when necessary to protect the purpose, safety, and integrity of this space.

We actively moderate content to protect survivors and maintain the integrity of this space. Not every comment or submission will be approved for publication. Content that undermines survivor safety, attempts to invalidate lived experience, promotes hate, engages in proselytizing, or disrupts the purpose of this project may be declined without notice.

Our priority is not unrestricted debate. Our priority is creating a space where survivors can speak openly without being subjected to harassment, manipulation, or ideological pressure.

We moderate this space intentionally. Survivor safety takes precedence over unrestricted participation.
